AW Pneumatic Actuators

The AW pneumatic actuator is a type of rotary pneumatic actuator widely used in automation control systems, particularly in industrial applications requiring precise on/off control.

Description

The AW pneumatic actuator is a type of rotary pneumatic actuator widely used in automation control systems, particularly in industrial applications requiring precise on/off control. Here’s an overview of the working principle and main industry applications of AW pneumatic actuators:

🔎 Working Principle of AW Pneumatic Actuators

The AW pneumatic actuator is driven by compressed air, converting the energy of the pressurized gas into mechanical energy to enable rotary movement of the valve. Its working principle includes the following parts:

1. Single-acting and Double-acting:
   - Single-acting: Uses a spring-return design and only requires air on one side. When air enters, it pushes the piston to open or close the valve. When the air supply is cut off, the spring returns the valve to its original position (either normally open or normally closed).
   - Double-acting: Requires air supply on both sides to move and reset the valve. When air enters, it drives the piston to open or close the valve, and when the air supply stops, the valve holds its position, making it suitable for applications requiring precise positioning and control.

2. Structure and Rotary Motion:
   - The AW pneumatic actuator generally consists of a cylinder, piston, output shaft, and spring. The piston moves linearly inside the cylinder, and through internal rack-and-pinion or helical structures, the linear motion is converted into rotary motion, typically with a 90° or 120° output angle, suitable for ball valves, butterfly valves, and similar applications.
   - It can be equipped with accessories such as solenoid valves, limit switches, and travel limiters, enabling more precise control and feedback functions.

🔎 Industry Applications of AW Pneumatic Actuators

1. Oil and Gas:
   - Used to control valves in pipelines and storage tanks, regulating the flow of oil and gas to ensure safe transport and accurate production control. The AW pneumatic actuator provides a quick response, suitable for high-frequency operation in harsh environments.

2. Chemical Industry:
   - In chemical production, it adjusts fluid flow to meet the requirements of different reaction processes. The AW pneumatic actuator's corrosion resistance and tight sealing make it suitable for handling highly corrosive media, ensuring safe operation of equipment.

3. Water Treatment:
   - Widely used in wastewater treatment and water supply systems to control water flow and pressure, ensuring stable system operation. The AW pneumatic actuator can accurately control the valve opening angle to meet flow regulation needs.

4. Power Industry:
   - In power systems, it is used for controlling fluids such as steam and cooling water. The AW pneumatic actuator's quick response and high-temperature resistance make it suitable for various applications in power plants, especially in cogeneration and power dispatch systems.

5. Pulp and Paper, and Metallurgy:
   - In pulp and paper and metallurgy industries, it controls the direction and pressure of fluids and gases, ensuring stable production processes. The AW pneumatic actuator’s pollution resistance and high durability make it suitable for operations in dusty and high-temperature environments.

🔎Advantages of AW Pneumatic Actuators

1. Precise Control: Adjustable air pressure allows for precise valve opening, closing, and adjustment.
2. High Safety: With no electrical sparks, it is suitable for explosive environments.
3. High Durability: Robust structure enables stable operation over extended periods with frequent use and low maintenance costs.

Due to its efficient, reliable, and flexible control capabilities, the AW pneumatic actuator has become a key component in industrial automation control systems, playing an important role across various industries.

AW series pneumatic actuators are designed and developed on the basis of comprehensively utilizing domestic and foreign new technologies, advanced materials, new processes and innovative concepts. The products have the following features:

1. AW pneumatic actuator is divided into double acting and single acting type (spring return), two separate cylinder, easy to manufacture large size cylinder. To meet the needs of various large rotary valves.

2. Large output torque, flexible and stable operation; The inner wall shaft of cylinder block is plated with hard chrome, which has good wear resistance. All sliding parts are equipped with oil-free shaft and guide ring to reduce friction coefficient, prolong service life, AW pneumatic actuator u-shaped curve characteristic outputtorque is more suitable for large diameter ball valve, butterfly valve.
3. rotation Angle: double action =90°, single action =90° from both ends adjustable Angle ±5°

4. working environment temperature: -20℃~60℃.

5. air source: filtered, dry or lubricated clean air, minimum pressure 0.4mpa, maximum atmospheric pressure 1.0mpa.

6. basic design: pneumatic double cylinder double piston fork drive structure. Model AWxx= double acting type; Model AWxxS= Single acting (spring return).

7. powerful accessory function: can be equipped with single (double) electronic solenoid valve, limit switch back transmitter, electrical locator, air source processing triplet and manual operation mechanism, fully realize automatic or manual control.
