AT Pneumatic Actuators

The AT pneumatic actuator is a type of actuator used in automation control systems, widely applied in industries such as oil and gas, chemical, power, and water treatment. It operates by compressed air, controlling the opening, closing, or adjustment of valves to achieve precise fluid control.

Description

AT Pneumatic Actuators

The AT pneumatic actuator is a type of actuator used in automation control systems, widely applied in industries such as oil and gas, chemical, power, and water treatment. It operates by compressed air, controlling the opening, closing, or adjustment of valves to achieve precise fluid control. Here’s an overview of the working principle of AT pneumatic actuators and their main industry applications:

🔎Working Principle of AT Pneumatic Actuators

AT pneumatic actuators achieve rotational or linear motion through the action of compressed air, which drives valves for on/off operations. The main principles include:

1. Single-acting and Double-acting:
   - Single-acting: The actuator only requires air input on one side, with a spring on the other side for return. When the air supply is cut off, the spring force returns the valve to its original position (either normally open or normally closed).
   - Double-acting: Air input is needed on both sides to control movement. When air enters the cylinder, it pushes the piston, opening or closing the valve. If the air supply stops, the valve remains in its current position, allowing for more precise control.

2. Structure and Operation:
   - An AT pneumatic actuator generally consists of components such as a piston, cylinder, and output shaft. Compressed air enters the cylinder, pushing the piston and driving the output shaft to rotate, often providing a 90° rotational output, suitable for ball valves, butterfly valves, etc.
   - When combined with accessories like solenoid valves, limit switches, and positioners, it enables more precise control and feedback.

🔎Industry Applications of AT Pneumatic Actuators

1. Oil and Gas:
   - Used in oil extraction and gas transportation to control flow, pressure, and direction in pipelines, ensuring safe and efficient transfer. AT pneumatic actuators provide quick and reliable control response to meet operational needs in harsh environments.

2. Chemical Industry:
   - Chemical production requires precise control of fluid flow and temperature. The corrosion-resistant design and stable performance of AT pneumatic actuators meet the needs for handling corrosive media, ensuring production stability and safety.

3. Water Treatment:
   - In wastewater treatment and water supply systems, AT pneumatic actuators control valve openings, enabling precise regulation of water volume and pressure to meet treatment process requirements.

4. Power Industry:
   - Used in steam, cooling water, and fuel supply control in power plants to ensure stable operation. AT pneumatic actuators are suitable for various sections of the power system and can withstand high-temperature, high-pressure environments.

5. Food and Pharmaceuticals:
   - Food and pharmaceutical industries have high hygiene and contamination control requirements. With good sealing and spark-free operation, AT pneumatic actuators are suitable for use in sterile and clean environments.

🔎Advantages of AT Pneumatic Actuators

1. Safe and Reliable: Especially suited for explosive environments, as there is no electrical spark, making pneumatic drives ideal for high-risk settings.
2. Quick Response: The rapid response time of pneumatic actuators meets the demands of applications requiring fast open/close actions.
3. Easy Maintenance: Pneumatic systems have a simple structure, are easy to maintain, and offer low operational costs.

With their reliable performance, flexible control, and excellent environmental adaptability, AT pneumatic actuators have become indispensable components in industrial automation control.

AT series pneumatic actuators are designed and developed on the basis of comprehensively utilizing domestic and foreign new technologies, advanced materials, new processes and innovative concepts. The products have the following features:

1、Conform to up-to-date international codes including IS05211/DIN3337VDI/VDE3845 and NAMUR standards.

2、High strength aluminum cylinder body formed by extrusion whose internal surfaces are subject to fine grinding and hardcoat anode oxidation treatment have long use life and low friction coefficient.

3、Beautiful, compact and modern styles and multi-specification series products enable more economic type selection.

4、High quality bearings with low friction, long life and free of noise are adopted for all moving surfaces.

5、Two independent stroke adjustment mechanism are installed outside for convenience of adjustment of ± 5° full open or full close positions.

6、Actuators with identical external structures have double action type and single action type (spring reset) for selection. Single action type actuators include normally closed type and normally open type products.

7、Multifunctional position indicators of NAMUR standard can be regarded as representation, installation and output of all accessories.

8、Pre-compressed load spring allows to safe installation and dismantling as well as light weight.

9、The products can be applied in high temperature and low temperature situations if sealing materials are changed.

10、Pneumatic actuators with multiple angle travels (i.e., 120° 135° 180° and there-position type pneumayic actuators can be provided as required. No connection plate is needed and eletromagnetic balve can be installed directly.)
